READERS & EXTRA-ORDINARY MINISTER OF COMMUNION
There will be a meeting for all Readers, Eucharist Ministers and Co-ordinators, both current and new, this Wednesday at 7.30pm. As there are very important items to discuss and some training to be given to new members, please make a note of the date in your diary and make every effort to attend. If, for any reason, you are unable to make that date, please inform either Ann Pells or Fr James. Thank you.
If you come to Mass at Yelvertoft and want to be informed by email should Mass be cancelled due to snow or other adverse weather conditions, please send an email to the parish and we will contact you, should the Mass not be celebrated. Email address is as above.
DETAILS OF VARIOUS COURSES,
organised by NORES, together with booking forms, are in the porch.
ends this weekend. For four weeks we have to count everybody at Mass. If you see someone counting, please stay in your pace lest they get confused! Many thanks to those who have done the counting!
READING THE BIBLE
The Bible Society offers a series of very good guides to the books of the Bible. You and a few friends could get together to look at a book or two over the autumn and winter, either in your home, coffee-shop or even pub. The important thing is to read the Word of God. Fr. James will be available to help, should this be required. For information, go to https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/explore-the-bible/bible-book-club/
Forms should be returned to Fr James today so that planning for the course can begin. Confirmation will take place on 30th June at the 10.30am Mass and preparation sessions begin shortly. Please collect a list from Fr James.
This is also the week after our First Communion – an exciting June for the parish
Keep the date of 24th November, time 10am-1pm. We will be looking for volunteers shortly so please help if you can!
Plans are proceeding for the ecumenical interactive Christmas for 3rd, 4th & 6th December. It’s an opportunity for children, some the only time, to hear the Christmas story. Volunteers are needed to help in various capacities. If you may be interested, there will be a meeting this Monday at 2.30pm at the Methodist Church. If you can’t make the meeting, please advise Keith of your interest on 01327 843319.
This is a fun residential weekend for young Catholics aged 11-18 years from 1st-3rd Feb 2019. Please contact Fiona on 01582 720627 or email email@example.com for further information.

A FURTHER REMINDER
that cars should NOT be parked on the pavements, as they need to be kept clear for pedestrians. Please be considerate or you are likely to receive a fine.
BLESSING OF GRAVES
The November Blessing of Graves will take place on 4th Nov at 3p at Welton Road Cemetery.
PARISH PRAYER INTENTIONS
These may be put on the board in the Damien Chapel. They are included in each Sunday’s Bidding Prayers.
It has been suggested that the night Mass be moved from midnight to 10.30pm. Would people prefer an earlier time? Please tell Fr James. The other Christmas Eve Mass will be at 5pm.
Please consider joining the 400 Club and be in with a chance of winning some cash! Joy and friends will be in the hall after the 10.30am Mass. If you attend the 5pm Mass, you can still join, – just speak to Fr James. Cost is 25p per number per week.

OUR LOCAL SVP
welcomes gifts of food for the needy – please use the basket in the porch. There is a need for food that does not need cooking and, if in tins, those with ring-pull tops are preferred. Many thanks.
