READERS & EXTRA-ORDINARY MINISTER OF COMMUNION

There will be a meeting for all Readers, Eucharist Ministers and Co-ordinators, both current and new, on Wed 17th October at 7.30pm. As there are very important items to discuss and some training to be given to new members, please make a note of the date in your diary and make every effort to attend. If, for any reason, you are unable to make that date, please inform either Ann Pells or Fr James. Thank you.

MODERN DAY SLAVERY & TRAFFICKING

The Northampton Justice & Peace Commission invite you to this conference on Sat 13th Oct at St John’s Parish Hall, Sundon Park Road, Luton, from 10am-1.30pm, followed by a shared lunch. Further details on the notice board.

MASS COUNT

continues this weekend. For four weeks we have to count everybody at Mass. If you see someone counting, please stay in your pace lest they get confused!

READING THE BIBLE

The Bible Society offers a series of very good guides to the books of the Bible. You and a few friends could get together to look at a book or two over the autumn and winter, either in your home, coffee-shop or even pub. The important thing is to read the Word of God. Fr. ST MARY’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

INTERACTIVE CHRISTMAS

Plans are proceeding for the ecumenical interactive Christmas for 3rd, 4th & 6th December. It’s an opportunity for children, some the only time, to hear the Christmas story. Volunteers are needed to help in various capacities. If you may be interested, there will be a meeting on Mon 15th Oct at 2.30pm at the Methodist Church. If you can’t make the meeting, please advise Keith of your interest on 01327 843319.

CAFOD

Our second collection this week is for CAFOD’s Family Fast Day. If you didn’t get an envelope last week, spare ones are in the porch. If you pay tax, please consider completing the Gift Aid form.

LUX GOLD

FLAME 2019

This will take place on Sat 2nd Mar 2019 at Wembley Arena. Tickets are available to purchase through the parish for those aged 13+, price £20 (ticket price only). Please contact Fiona (as above) for further details.

AMY AND EMILY ROWE’S RAFFLE

We thank everyone for their support in our fundraising efforts and are delighted to announce we raised over £250. The raffle was drawn by Maura, Eugene and Naomi Minnock. The winners are:
